Really is a Shangri-La perfect for 3-generation Family bonding time in the North Shores Sweet Spot
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5/5
“I want to thank our host and say how wonderful our stay was in this perfect location. This was more than a vacation for myself and my family; it truly did create memories I feel will last a lifetime! It was organized as a surprise 50th for my wife, so it was close to our entire immediate family. Thirteen people total, ranging in age from the sixties to a 3 month old. The house was spectacular. Although it is not air conditioned, we never really needed it since there was always an ocean breeze during the day and cooled down very nicely at night. The grounds are impeccably maintained; though honestly, we did not use the tennis/ volleyball court. It provided a serene family gathering atmosphere and was very comfortable. The views of the mountains and the beach were phenomenal. The location could not have been better since it is located so close to the small surfing town of Haleiwa. This town offers great beaches, of course, but also has great shopping and food. Our host was very engaging to ensure we were comfortable and had any information we needed. He even went so far as to forward us any surf advisories almost daily. All in all, I feel it was the best vacation I’ve ever experienced.”
The Ultimate Hawaiian Retreat
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5/5
I can't say enough about how amazing The Hale Aloha Estate is. I've visited Hawaii at least 10 times (Oahu, The Big Island, Maui and Kauai) and this was the best yet. First, the location is perfect--quiet, beautiful, great weather, nice snorkeling plus waves at the nearly private beach and proximity to so many favorites: Haleiwa, Matsumoto and Aoki's shave ice, turtles at Laniakea, snorkeling at Shark Cove and Waimea Falls. The property itself is truly magical. Set back from the beach (with private access path), it's an ultra-private Shangri-La with an expansive garden setting. You're surrounded by gorgeous trees, tropical plants and lawns plus our favorite, the big pond with beautiful flowers and many different frogs. The house itself is equally lovely. Each room is beautifully decorated and the bathrooms are newly redone. There's a great kitchen and common eating areas inside and out. There are two separate houses joined by a large deck overlooking the ocean and gardens. The deck has ample seating, tables, a fun bar and even a hot tub. {The owner} is an incredible host. He is so warm and welcoming, happy to take care of every possible need. Every room was decorated with fresh flower arrangements and he went way above and beyond to arrange a very special event for my father that I didn't even think would be possible. Everyone in our group of 17 was absolutely thrilled and felt so lucky to be there. It was so beautiful, comfortable and perfect that we could hardly bear leaving and vowed to return. Thank you to {the owner} and team for the most wonderful, magical vacation we could have hoped for!
Perfect Family Getaway
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5/5
From the first moment we talked with the Owner about this house, we knew it would be perfect for our family as we celebrated my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary with a special trip to Oahu. {The Owner} and his team made every effort to accommodate us with true Hawaiian hospitality. The entire house was very clean and each room had fresh flowers. We had fun playing badminton and horseshoes as well as wonderful snorkeling on the private beach. The snorkeling was even better than snorkeling at Waikiki. We loved the convenience of hiking and exploring the North Shore every day. We also enjoyed adventuring across the island, seeing Waikiki, Honolulu and hiking Diamonshead with an easy commute to return back to our secluded oasis at the end of the day. We absolutely recommend this home without any hesitation.

"Privacy? Check! Spacious and roomy? Check! Steps from the beach? Check and check! Do yourself a favor and book this home. Greg is a wonderful owner and host. We had a group of 17 adults and everyone had plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The house is amazing, the deck is incredible. Tennis/volleyball court. Steps from the beach which is quiet and away from the crowds. Went down to Waikiki one of the days and everyone agreed that we couldn’t wait to get back to the house and our beach. Had several sea turtles on the shore. Able to snorkel as well do a little fishing. Had a wonderful time and can not wait to book this home again! Mahalo to {the owner}!"
Amazing place, perfect for our large family!

"Secluded, quiet and private on Oahu’s North Shore. Steps to a private beach. This was a perfect place for our large family to rest and relax and also a great base camp for venturing out to scuba, zip line, fish, and see Oahu’s attractions. {The Owner} could not have been a better host and the place had everything we needed, and notably great decks with indoor/outdoor living. It exceeded my expectations at every turn."
PERFECT getaway for large families
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5/5
"This is the second time my family has stayed at the Hale Aloha property and I can't recommend it highly enough. In the past year the owner made quite a few renovations and improvements to the home that have made it even more comfortable. We noticed big things like new wooden floors throughout the entire house as well as newly remodeled showers and bathrooms. We also noticed small things like new ceiling fans, new TVs and sound systems, and new appliances in the kitchen like coffee makers, kitchen supplies, etc. Lots of care and attention is put into the upkeep and maintenance of the home -- which was good to see!
As always, my family had the BEST time in our 7 days there. The house is perfect for lots of adults and kids (we had 16 people) -- everyone fits comfortably, especially because there are so many suites in the home. You can have lots of people but it doesn't feel like anyone is "on top of each other".
More than that, the BEACH!! The pictures of the private beach really don't do it justice!! Most days we had the entire beach to ourselves with not a single person on it. In addition, the landscaping of the property was immaculate and we had a big family football game on the lawn. And, we love that it's just 10 min away from Haleiwa so you get a really secluded feel away from all the tourists but can go into town super easily for food, shave ice, etc.
Highly-highly recommended. Thank you! "

"It was another world experience in a beautiful garden. The house is located just few steps from the ocean front, That beach is very beautiful and quiet (no people when I took a walk with my husband). Being from the Big Island, I had no idea Oahu island had such a quite and natural place with not many people. It is truly a hidden gem. You do not realize you are on Oahu being at this Hidden Treehouse Villa."
Fabulous Tropical Paradise
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5/5
"This beautiful property exceeded our hopes and expectations. From the whitewater view, to the lush landscapes, everywhere is something lovely to see. Multiple sliding glass doors open directly onto 4 expansive decks that are well furnished with lounge chairs, dinning sets, hammock, everything necessary to enjoy beautiful outdoor living. Large multiple screens make the bedrooms and sleeping areas seem as though they are outdoors in the treetops. The home is well-stocked, from the supplies and tools in the kitchens to the toys, beachtowels, kayaks & boogie boards outside. A large nice hot tub on the deck allows a commanding view of the property as well as a peek at the ocean and surf. The friendly, sincere owners were accommodating and enjoyable to deal with, going the extra mile to make our vacation unforgettably amazing. Mosquitos had been mentioned, but quite frankly none of us saw any mosquitoes during our stay in this simply gorgeous place. We had such fun here, and would come again in a heartbeat."
Lovely Escape

“Hello. Thank you for accommodating us in such a way that we truly felt that we were in paradise. And oh the heartache we felt leaving Hawaii, the only way possible is to declare that we shall return! Our stay at Hale Aloha met even our highest expectations. You have created such a lovely escape there that both celebrates and preserves the beauty of Hawaii. It is a delicate balance, one that I hope the North Shore of Oahu will also be able to sustain. I commend you and the caretakers for sharing what could only come from a lot of aloha. Hale Aloha holds a special place for us, and I thank you for making that so. Warmest Regards, Lisa and family.”
Our Experience There Will Be Cherished

“We would like to wish you a very happy holiday season, and thank you once again for making possible the wonderful experience we had in Hawaii last May with our whole family. Every one of us (My husband and I, our children and their spouses and our grandchildren, all ranging from 29 years to 1 year) has nothing but warm and happy memories of the whole experience. The accommodations could not have been nicer, the grounds were absolutely beautiful, the caretakers so friendly and helpful in every way, and all the business side of things was managed in a timely and professional manner, which only enhanced the overall experience. We felt the personal touch that you gave to our visit, and we felt very welcome. Our experience there will be treasured by all of us for the rest of our lives. If we ever have the opportunity to return, you will be the first one we call! Thanks again, Jeanie.”
The Wedding That Went Perfect
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5/5
“A brief history, my daughter was getting married and wanted to have the wedding in Hawaii. I have always wanted to go to Hawaii so this was the perfect excuse. The entire family with the other children and their spouses came along also, a total of 19 in all. I will tell you it was one of the best experiences we have had ever for a family event. The wedding went perfect but the house, the people, and the surroundings really made it a great event. Your people took care of all of our needs from getting us equipment to informing us of good places to visit on the island. The house handled all of us in comfort. Both the old and young “kids” still talk about the trip and ask me when I am taking them back. Of course, they want to return to the same place. Thanks again for the great facility and service that you provided. Philip Dick. Project Director, Fluor Inc.”
Great place to stay for a safe, secure & quiet nightlife

“{The owner & wife} are the warmest most caring people. Extremely hospitable and warm. They are respectful to privacy but also made themselves more than available to answer questions or give good input on places to travel. My son and I loved playing there. At the days end, we were exhausted so it was a comfortable place to rest and sleep. Great place to stay for a safe, secure, & quiet nightlife. — Kristen and Roman from California.”
The house [was] excellent
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5/5
“Our family rented the “Hale Aloha Estate” for the month of Aug. ’06. Staying with us were two young grandchildren (5 and 1 years old) plus three separate families. The three accommodations within the house were excellent for privacy. The main kitchen and dinning area were used as a common area to eat, gather and talk. The deck and outdoor bar were used each day plus, we hosted a graduation party for my niece with 15 guests and had plenty of room and space. The grounds are beautiful, with a large open area for crochet, bocce ball, etc. The beach is very private and pretty. In addition to this beach, we used the beautiful beaches at Sunset, Sharks Cove and Turtle Bay, for snorkeling, sunbathing swimming and sightseeing . The property management at Hale Aloha was helpful and accommodating. The security deposits were handled efficiently and hassle free. To {The Owner}, I hope this will help your guests better understand their stay at Hale Aloha. Happy Holidays to you and your family. If I can help in the future do not hesitate to contact me. Unforgettable vacation spot

“Hale Aloha was an unforgettable vacation spot. The warmth of the sun hit my face and the tropical air enveloped me as I made my way down the beautifully landscaped drive. Comfort coupled with serenity allowed for complete relaxation and the opportunity to enjoy a stunning beach with little to no people in sight. Hiking options were within walking distance and the Jacuzzi on the large wood balcony allowed for the enjoyment of the mountains and the beach while winding down at night. Spacious kitchen facilities and barbecue capabilities accommodated for anything from intimate dinners to large gatherings. Living in Los Angeles, Hale Aloha allowed me to slow down the pace of my life while enjoying the beautiful Hawaiian surroundings. >From the moment I arrived, I experienced the unfolding magic of Hale Aloha. It is truly a North Shore gem!” — Christy McGill Los Angeles, CA.”

“I can’t say enough about this beautiful place! The house is huge, sleeps 18 with three separate suites, two full kitchens and four full baths. Laundry room, wet bar, hot tub, gazebo, and tennis court. The privacy, the tranquility, the breathtaking views from this estate, are over the top. My wife and I have stayed in many parts of the world; this is the number one spot we have ever found. The peacefulness, listening to the birds of paradise, and the views are truly an ultimate experience. The team of this estate have really done a superior job of putting this all together there. The landscaping is incredible, manicured to the finest. It is literally steps to the beach. If you are vacationing with friends, planning a wedding, or want to do a family reunion, this is the place to be. You will never find another place on this island that will compare to this. You won’t regret coming here. Hands down, we will be doing this again. Thank you to the Hale Aloha team. On a scale of 1-5, I give you a 10.”

“Hale Aloha was the perfect vacation home for our large family trip. We had a family meeting from various places in CA, NV, and Australia. The Estate provided us a great, spacious place to catch-up, enjoy meals together, as well as relax! The beach was amazing and unlike others that we experienced on the North Shore or really anywhere else that we have vacationed. The Owner was extremely responsive to all of our questions and inquiries and we appreciated the familiarization tour when we arrived. I would definitely recommend Hale Aloha to anyone looking for a peaceful, spacious, and beautiful North Shore destination. – GENEVIEVE –”

Incredible estate & perfect beach

“We decided to visit Hawaii for our family reunion this summer and staying at Hale Aloha was the highlight of our trip. We were deciding between a couple different places, but we had to choose this listing after we were blown away by all of the glowing reviews. Now, I wanted to add my name to the list of ecstatic guests!
After we landed, we rented cars and took the scenic drive through the cute surf town of Haleiwa. The property is super close to the town, which was really helpful when we wanted to grab supplies for our BBQs (more on that later). Then, we arrived at Hale Aloha and immediately admired the beautiful flowers all throughout the grounds. We parked our cars and walked up to the wrap-around deck to see an incredible view of the beach and tons perfect spots to relax. We each picked our rooms (which was easy because they were ALL so comfortable) and decided to get active.
The adults started a tennis tournament, the kids threw around the football, and everyone else took the boogie boards to the beach. When I arrived at the beach, it was like walking into a postcard. Perfect sand and the clearest water you’re ever going to see. What’s more, the only people that we could see were the small dots of skydivers who we could barely see floating way above us. It was paradise.
In the afternoon, we went back to the house to get a BBQ going. As I mentioned above, we popped over to the nearby grocery store and picked up everything that we needed. While we grilled, my sister started a dance party using the in-house sound system and another group decided to take a nap (yes, this place is so big that they couldn’t hear a thing). In the evening, we used the dining table to have a full family dinner. One night, we had everyone pile onto the couches for a movie night on the big screen TV. Another day, we did our laundry and played games in the gazebo. Finally, my favorite part (besides the beach) was seeing thousands of stars at night. I recommend sitting outside and staring upwards on a clear night – it’s truly magical.
Other important details: the booking process with (the owner) was really easy. He was incredibly kind and helpful when we were planning other things to do in the area (we went to the Polynesian Cultural Center one day and Kalua Ranch another day – both awesome). Fritz (the groundskeeper) answered all of our questions immediately. Hale Aloha was awesome and we’re definitely booking it again next year!”

Wonderful site for an unforgettable stay!
Like a treehouse for both children and grown-ups, for those who seek a refuge far from the crowds of tourists found elsewhere on this island, this property is ideal. You’ll find yourself surrounded by fields, tropical flora, a lily pond, and the gorgeous, near-deserted beach just steps from the house. The owner & caretaker are truly kind and welcoming — it’s clear that he wants you to feel at home here. For shopping, the charming village of Haleiwa is ten minutes away by car, with little swim shops and a variety of cafés. I strongly recommend Hale Aloha!”

“A review for our unforgettable stay at this amazing estate is long overdue. I had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Hale Aloha with a group of friends. Hale Aloha is an absolute hidden paradise within paradise. The extensive lush, tropical grounds next to a lovely secluded beach provide the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and luxurious Hawaiian vacation. The home is comfortable and elegant-it is truly island living at its best! I still dream of sitting on that large outdoor deck during sunset, with a glass of wine in hand, and a perfect view of the ocean through a row of palm trees. The owner of the property is so welcoming, charming, helpful, and responsive. Our visit far exceeded any of our expectations, I would highly recommend Hale Aloha to anyone!! – Jonathon from Sapporo Japan -“

“My second time at Hale Aloha and it was just as I remembered it. The beautiful grounds and the incredible house made it a perfect visit. It was so relaxing and so quiet being away from the business of city life and just be.
My favorite was the secluded beach. It felt like we were on our own private beach.
As with the last time, the owner went the extra mile to make me feel at home and made sure everything was as promised.
I would recommend Hale Aloha to anyone wanting to have a wonderful visit to a beautiful place. We will be back again. MARY D FROM MELBOURNE”

“We’ve decided that the photos and videos of this place online do not do Hale Aloha justice. It is far more beautiful!
We have blissfully enjoyed our days here and only regretfully will we leave tomorrow to return to our homes scattered across the globe. Although we have done some sightseeing to various places on Oahu, our favorite times during this vacation have been in your beautiful home here by the ocean, and at the beach, where the snorkeling is always amazing. We will all have wonderful memories of our time here.
We enjoyed our stay here and we all agree that we would do it again–so this may not be the last you see of us! Thank you for your hospitality!”
Rehearsal dinner & setting

“We held our Rehearsal Dinner at the Hale Aloha on a Saturday night (50 people) and our wedding the next day (150 people). My wife and I were both extremely pleased with our experience both with the property, the property owner (Greg), and the property manager who lives on site (Ryan). The venue is beautiful, and definitely large enough to accommodate similar events to the size of ours. The process of booking the venue, planning for event, and executing it on the day were pretty flawless. We felt supported the whole time from the property owner (he even took time to come out to both of our events and help out…like clear tables, pour drinks, etc). If we had to start the whole process over again, we would still chose this venue for our wedding and rehearsal dinner. – JUSTIN -“
Relaxing beach holiday in charming house on beautiful Estate

“Greg was most helpful from the placement of my first phone call and through out our visit to Hale Aloha. He really wants his guests to feel how special the house and spacious grounds are. This old lady of a house has lots and lots of character sure to charm anyone who visits. Everyone in our group had lots of privacy both indoors in their spacious bedrooms and outdoors on the wrap around deck on second floor, and deck on ground floor. The kids loved staying in the loft upstairs. The beach is right across the street, but due to heavy storms in the area we were unable to go in the rough water, which is quite rocky where the house is, but sandy at the public beach just minutes away. On the last day we went in and marvelled at the abundance of tropical fish just 5 feet off the shore! The grandparents in particular enjoyed bird watching from the house and the gorgeous grounds and garden complete with frog pond and bridge. The house is in a very quiet neighbourhood and the nearest store is 6 miles away. This house is ideal for relaxing and enjoying the company of your group–not running out to Honolulu and other ‘attractions.'”

The property and location is special and beautiful, and the staff did everything they could to meet the needs of our family during our extended stay in 2014. “After looking at numerous choices available for our vacation we chose this home in Mokuleia HI and we are very happy that we did. The house is just as described and looks just like the pictures. We were there for a mini-family reunion and the house was great for that. With the layout of the house you could be very close to one another or very separated. The outside yard is great for the kids to be able to run around and explore. The deck outside was great for gathering and sitting around to talk. Gregory & caretakers were very accommodating to any request that we had and checked on us several times to make sure that everything was going well. The house had everything we needed, plus some.. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, several tvs, but I don’t think they were ever used, boogie boards, kayak, tennis court/volley ball court, several games, hot tub, the list can go on and on……..
The views from the house were great. For us the location was wonderful but you are secluded so if you want the big city vacation then you might not want this location. It is a very short walk to your own beach was great for snorkeling and great for kids. There are several other beaches close by within a very short driving distance. We had a great vacation and really enjoyed staying at this home. I have nothing negative to say about this house.
Thanks Gregory for allowing us to rent your home.

AMAZING property on the north shore
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5/5
“The Hale Aloha was an absolutely beautiful and amazing place to spend vacation time on the north shore, away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu. We were a large group of naval officers that were returning from a 7 month deployment and we were looking for a serene and quiet place to relax and recharge our minds and bodies before returning home to CA. The Hale Aloha was the perfect place! The owner did an absolutely fantastic job of welcoming us in and was accessible for anything that came up during our stay. The onsite caretaker was also helpful for any minor issues that arose and he took good care of a few of us that went SCUBA diving with his shop. The house was clean and comfortable and easily accommodated 15 of us. The grounds were well-taken care of and although it was Feb. and most of the plants weren’t flowering, it was still beautiful. Mokuleia was quiet and serene and Haleiwa was a short drive away for any conveniences and restaurants. I would give this house my highest recommendation to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay on the north shore.”
Hale Aloha Estate was everything that we could have wanted for our family vacation

“The Hale Aloha Estate was everything that we could have wanted for our family vacation in Hawaii. Our ages ranged from 1 yr to 72 yrs, 18 people in all. We had teenagers and small children and grandparents. The house accommodated us well. There was plenty of room, the property was amazing. The pictures did a very good job of showing it off. The property was clean. Some issues with the grill and maintainence which were addressed by the owner. Lots of bugs but that goes with the tropics. All in all our family had a great time and loved the feel of the plantation type Hawiian home. Everything the owner promised was taken care of and fulfilled. I would recommend this property to any family or large group looking for a peaceful place to stay away from the hustle and bustle, close to a lot of very nice beaches and away from all of the city traffic and congestion. Great area to stay on the North Shore of Oahu. Looking forward to our next trip back to the islands. Mahalo and Aloha. – PHYLLIS, TOM & FAMILY -“
Fantasy Island!

“I would first of all like to start my review with a bit of background. I am a well seasoned traveler and also quite picky. Details are important to me and I expect to get a terrific value for my investment. This leads me to my review of Hale Aloha. My Aunt decided that she wanted to spend her 50th birthday in Hawaii surrounded by family. She wanted a quiet, serene location on the beach. I researched over 30 homes and didn’t find anything that suited our needs. This is when I luckily stumbled across the VRBO listing for Hale Aloha. I reached out to the owner and was shocked that I received an email and follow-up call the same day. He was such a delight to work with; I could spend my entire review writing about this experience alone! I arrived at the home in the late evening and was shocked. The property was well beyond what we were expecting. The home is spacious and set up to provide privacy to large parties. As if this wasn’t enough… When we woke up the next morning, we were again shocked!! The home has lime, coconut, mango and several over types of fruit trees. This is in addition to the several fresh flower trees spread throughout the estate. It sounds corny, however it reminded me of FANTASY ISLAND… A perfect spot for a wedding… Our first stop after touring the large estate sized yard was a trip to the beach. Again, well beyond our greatest expectation. The beach was fine white sand and exclusive. We spent hours at the beach and topped off every evening with a hike to the point to watch the sunset and turtle watch along the beach. The home is peaceful and energy is amazing. We had a few teenagers and 21 year olds in our group that loved to venture to local hotspots and Waikiki is a short distance away if that is your scene. We had 22 family members at the home and not one complaint. The home had a caretaker on site from London! You wouldn’t even know he was on-site. He respected our privacy, however was there if we needed him. Hale Aloha is truly a magical place. Maui was previously my favorite island… Today, nothing can compete with the North Shore and Hale Aloha. Truly paradise! Perfect piece of paradise

“I’m a wahine from Florida (Near Tampa Florida). The ride from Honolulu Airport to this destination is a quick one once you make your way off of the H-2. You find your ride somewhat like climbing the mountain side but not quite making the top, but once you make your way down the mountainside you have the most awesome panoramic view of the the whole North Shore, the towns of Haleiwa, Waialua and the tip of Mokuleia. The ride down the “snake road” to the town is very curvy but the beauty of this side of the island is so incredible. When you find your way to this house it’s quite off the beaten path, you are nestled into a nice clean spacious neighborhood. The entrance informs you immediately of the privacy and mystery behind the large solid gates. The yards are well maintained and lush, so much space that you are instantly impressed with this gem of a find. The Koi pond small waterfall that the caretaker has created is in itself is so typical Hawaiian, your own pond to play and listen and enjoy right outside the decks. This house has everything! Incredible plants and fauna, all the decks surround the home which lift you up above the very large plants, you feel like your in a jungle that is so beautiful. Once upstairs on the main floor, you are taken back at how cool this house is setup, you get a main house and a suite! The main house holds the ample kitchen, 3 cooks worked at a time in the kitchen so it’s size is comfortable, the living room is small but the TV is large so no matter where you are in this part of the house you are in view. All the sliders open to the decks. You can see the ocean but many of the trees block a complete view but you can really hear it, especially in the middle of the night, all the windows seem to face the ocean. The master bedroom is very oversized and larger than a motel room! The extra beds are located in the lofts that are really only ideal if you are young at heart and can handle a ladder staircase to get to them. This part of the house had 3 big beds. The suite next door was my home for my two weeks. This was perfect for me, 2 bedrooms and another loft with one bed per. I enjoyed the larger living room than you would expect for a suite, it was very comfortably furnished. The private deck off the bedroom and living room were a nice extra. Both bathrooms are very nicely appointed and the thick oversized towels make it extra nice. No kitchen in this suite which is fine. The home is very clean and has ample kitchenware to make you want to cook big meals and feed a party. Down stairs is another full 2 bedroom suite with a efficiency kitchen, that includes a burner range, sink and refrigerator. This part of the house is very private and more Asian in theme. This house has almost everything, including an outside on the deck Bali bar with a sink/small refrigerator, the smoothie machine was broken so we such stared at it wishing for slushies and margaritas! The whole house has 3 refrigerators! Unless you rent the whole house, which is what we did, the snorkels and boogie boards and Kayak and surf boards etc. were extra in cost, minimal but should be included since the final cost on the house is not cheap. The yard, tennis court and access to the beach is easy to get around. This house is not on the beach directly but has it’s own access down a short walkway, This was fine but you do walk between 2 homes. This is a great beach to stay on, very private and secluded, a nude beach is a short walk and a cove that gives you nice reefs to snorkel into, We swam with the turtles every morning and watched the local neighborhood surfers. All in all this is a great home with a wonderful setting. Staying in the North Shore area really is so much more Hawaii than being locked into the city in a skyscraping hotel. This home is about 25+ years old and has been well kept and shows. This is a home were celebrities stay to get away from the hustle bustle of Honolulu. We had 16 family members share this home, ranging in age from 10 to 83. We loved cook outside on the deck. Amazing property on the north shore of Oahu

Hidden gem of Mokuleia

“My fiancé and I recently got engaged and always knew that we would get married in Hawaii. A couple weeks ago, we took a trip down to Oahu to look at some wedding venues in Haleiwa/Wailua. Growing up on the islands i always loved the laid back country style of north shore. We were looking for a vacation rentals for us and a few people from the wedding party to stay in Wailua….. that’s how we found the Hale Aloha Estate. We fell in love with the pictures of Hale Aloha Estate online but we also wanted to see it in person. After we booked our tickets to Hawaii, we emailed the Owner to set up a tour. Greg responded quickly and we were able to set up a time to tour the estate. On the morning of the tour he provided us with clear directions to get to the estate. We met Greg at the estate and I just couldn’t believe my eyes! The house is gorgeous and it is truly a hidden gem. The estate is beautiful and well kept, the pictures are exactly the way the house is! The deck is well maintained and there is a lot of space to hang out. My fiancé and I both fell in love with the ocean view from the second story porch! While Greg was arranging center pieces for the new guests, my fiancé and I got the chance to walk down to the private entrance to the beach. The beach was quiet and the water was crystal clear! The house also comes with water sport gears for the guest to enjoy. We can’t wait to book this place our wedding next year! – AYE T.”
Perfect family reunion location

“Hard to put into words how beautiful this home and grounds are! Having never been to Hawaii we left the location to our Daughter-in-laws & they without a doubt found the perfect spot for our family & my wife & me to celebrate our 50th Wedding anniversary with our 2 sons & their children – one grandson also celebrated his birthday. As we opened the redwood gate we say the beautiful curving driveway with flowers & fruit trees along with a beautifully landscaped yard for family activities! Then we saw the Home – as beautiful as in the pictures – we were stopped in our tracks as we saw each of the 3 sleeping areas, each perfect to be together yet to have privacy as needed. The deck gave glorious views of the ocean, tennis courts, fountains/gazebo, rainbows (at least 2 times a day) & the mountains. The kitchen was furnished with everything we could need + some staples that every cook needs but typically doesn’t have or purchases for a week long stay! The owner, Gregory, gave wonderful directions to Costco & to ‘our home’, met us & graciously showed us around & met every need we had, plus gave us wonderful advice & guidance. The walk to the almost private beach was easy, the waves were great, the late November water was warm & the hot tub on the upper deck was so refreshing after a swim (great shower to wash off the sand before getting in the hot tub) or just to relax. The eating area was perfect for our 11 members as there are 2 long tables with stools to eat on the deck or a large table inside – but who wants to eat inside when you can eat outside on a covered deck. Speaking about eating there are plenty of coconuts and passion fruit to allow everyone to have their fill! There are enough games to play outdoors, puzzles/games to play indoors, plus enough snorkeling equipment, fins, boogie boards to keep everyone happy + enough towels to dry off! If you run out of clothes, the washer and dryer are big and easy to use. The bbq grill is large enough for the family to eat from at one time & is always filled with gas! I can only say if we ever get to Hawaii again or if we have any friends going, I would stay here again & highly recommend it – as it is close to the water & Haleiwa yet private, luxurious yet comfortable, spacious yet cozy, all anyone could ask for, including an outside bar/refrigerator so you can keep cool even in the hot tub. Thanks to the Owners for letting us stay with you! We look forward to visiting again. No one in our group could ask for more. – MATHEW R. -“
Amazing accommodation

“This property was exactly what we were looking for! Greg, the owner/manager was WONDERFUL! He was so knowledgeable about the property, the island and the culture of Hawaii. He was easy to work with during the booking process and took the time to get to know our group and its needs. He was transparent during the whole process and we agreed to expectations that fit our group, as opposed to a cookie-cutter experience. He also offered a variety of recommendations for the group including places to eat, hikes to explore, and events happening during our stay. I would easily do business with him again.
As for the property, it is breathtaking. The house was immaculate upon arrival. You can see how much pride Greg and Fritts (the caretaker) take in the property. Everything was so clean and well-organized! The flora and fauna of the property brought a completely different feeling to the property that I have yet to experience in a rental. There was such a relaxing and peaceful aura to the property. Look to the left and see you see the mountains full of mana (life force/spiritual energy) and to the right is the ocean, just across the street. The house also provided a variety of activities if you are not looking to explore the island. Some of the equipment included a kayak, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, racquetball and volleyball equipment and an array of board games. This property could accommodate any type of group.
This was my 3rd year organizing and facilitating this trip to Oahu for my university and this was hands down the best property we have experienced. I would highly suggest booking the Hale Aloha estate for your vacation!”
Unique and breathtaking site for special events!
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5/5
“Finding a unique event venue on Oahu is always a challenge…I personally don’t like the vibe of hotels, and many more intimate sites are either overpriced or just too popular. In choosing a venue for our baby shower, my husband and I checked out many private house/estate rentals, and were thrilled to finally come upon Hale Aloha! The site is spectacular, with acres of landscaped grounds surrounding two Balinese-style houses separated by a Bali bar, elevated to allow for great views of both the surrounding greenery and nearby beach. With about 35 guests, we hardly used the space to its full advantage — it could accommodate much more, what with the lawns, tennis court, lily pond, and beach access — but everyone ended up wanting to hang out together on the central lanai (terrace), enjoying the view and one another’s company. It was great to feel that we were on our own private estate, far from neighbors and city sounds. The beach, accessible via a short pathway behind the house, was nearly empty — the opposite of Waikiki crowds! Again we only used a fraction of what the house has to offer…I think I counted 10 beds in total, and the home was equipped to the fullest extent, elegant, and meticulously maintained. I would highly recommend Hale Aloha to visitors seeking a tropical retreat away from throngs of tourists, or to locals like us searching for a special venue for a wedding, shower, or other event! – Rachel -“
PERFECT location for a wedding!
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5/5
“My wife and I got married on this property just a week ago, and it was the first time our families would meet. Hale Aloha fit our needs wonderfully for both the wedding event and five nights of revelry and celebration. With 13 adults and 2 kids staying at the house, there was enough room for everybody to have their privacy, while the living room, kitchen and broad upper deck gave us all a place to gather, eat and drink together, without once feeling crammed or in need of more space. The house has a Swiss Family Robinson jungle castle feel to it, with natural light flooding in in the morning from bay windows and sky lights. The gardens are lush with tropical flora, and my niece made sure there was a big bowl of freshly collected plumeria flowers on the breakfast table every morning. We were married on the great lawn, which could have easily accommodated a party 4 times our size. Anybody planning a Hawaiian wedding should give this place real consideration. Beach access is a scant two minute walk, with access to some the island’s best beaches just a short drive away. The owner, was helpful and supportive throughout our stay, giving us recommendations for sightseeing and dining out. All in all, this place was perfect for us. We’re already talking about a five year reunion there!”
Hale Aloha was perfect

“Our experience with Hale Aloha, the Owner) and Caretakers was wonderful from start to finish. The photos were accurate in showing the house however the drive in to the house is even more inviting in person with the beautiful grounds surrounding the property. Other than the short path through a few houses to the beach area, it feels very secluded.
The beach in front of the house is every bit as amazing as in the photos and there wasn’t another person on the beach for the entire week of our stay. Our surf team kids were thrilled to be able to begin and end their day with a surf session right out front.
We had a group of young teens along with our adult chaperones and the house was so perfectly set up for a group that is staying together but needs separate space as well. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking even with our larger group, the extra full sized refrigerator and patio bar area was a bonus, new washer and dryer very convenient and the house was clean and well furnished. Dave and Toni, the care takers were there on site to help with our every request. They were very thoughtful and gracious but allowed us our privacy. They even went and got us some hot sauce that we were missing for our meal!:)
The owner was on call for questions, very helpful in setting up our reservation, special requests and thorough with the contract, directions, etc.
We are looking forward to coming back next year and highly recommend this property to groups of any size.
Thank you all for making our trip so special.

INCREDIBLY beautiful wedding and rehearsal site

“When our nephew from Honolulu became engaged in the spring of 2014 and announced their wedding date for January of 2015, we began searching for a place to accommodate our party of twelve from Arkansas. Our search was two fold… a place that would accommodate us AND allow for hosting a party of 50 for the rehearsal dinner. Our nephew had requested his “Nonnie’s” homemade spaghetti and sauce for the dinner thereby, requiring another special element…a kitchen to cook it in! In other words, we needed a home away from home and Hale Aloha is exactly what we found! From my very first conversation on the phone with the Owner until we sent the newlyweds off in their limo, I was never disappointed. My family was treated with such care, consideration and respect. I naturally wanted this to be very special for my nephew. So, to deter any reservations I may have had prior to signing a contract, The Owner invited my nephew up to view the property in advance. Remember… we were initially just looking for a place to accommodate our family and host a rehearsal dinner. But, upon my nephew and his fiancee’s visit, they fell in love with the property so much that to my delight they ask to be married there, too! Hale Aloha is truly a magical place! The grounds are so pristine and lush. Pictures really do not do it justice. The large open lawn was more than ample to accommodate the outdoor wedding of 150+ guests, as well as, the large 30’x30′ reception tent. The beautiful tropical trees and flora made for fabulous photography, too! There was also plenty of parking for the guests. The neighbors were so quiet and respectful, we barely knew they were there. In fact, the primary sounds of Hale Aloha are tropical birds singing, resident roosters crowing and the luring roar of the sea. Gregory was with us the whole step of the way accommodating to our every need…I literally found him in the kitchen at one point helping my 80 year old mother-in-law rinse off the dishes! Once again, we truly found our “home away from home” in Hale Aloha and in their onsite Team. We look forward to future stays and reacquainting with new found friends! Mahalo! Kay F.”

“Any photo of Hale Aloha will not do any justice to the reality of how beautiful this estate is. The landscape that it is surrounded by is gorgeous! It’s tremendous grand lawn is breathtaking. The pond and gazebo truly are unique and add to the beauty of this special place. If you like what you see in the pictures of Hale Aloha, be prepared to fall in love with it in person.
From the initial booking, contract signing to wedding day, Gregory was very kind as well as straightforward about everything involved with the estate. He exceeded our expectations by preparing the house for our entire family to stay in and the grounds were maintained very well and beautiful! We ware so happy that Hale Aloha Estate and Gregory could be apart of our special day.
Gregory, as well as the caretakers on property were very kind, respectful and So helpful. I can still see Gregory running (literally running) to notify our photographers that we needed a car so we could take beach pictures. He even offered to drive us! Everyone involved with Hale Aloha was there to help us and we are so thankful for this.
Everything from the house to the grounds and pond area were clean manicured and beautiful for our wedding day. Everything was perfect!
To what degree did we feel our special needs professionally met, and that the management cared about US?
The fact that everyone who attended our celebration said that this was the best wedding they have ever been to speaks a lot of how important our special day was to the management of Hale Aloha. We really couldn’t have done it without Gregory and his team who keep this place so beautiful.
How quiet did you feel the neighborhood was? We live in downtown Honolulu so the neighborhood was very quiet to us. If your looking for a good nights rest, this is the place for you.
We felt very safe at our wedding reception. The Owner had stressed to us the importance of hiring HPD to watch over our reception and now that we look back, we can really appreciate his advice and concern for this.
Highly Recommendable!!”

The owner absolutely became the hero of the day when he went out of his way to get Hale Aloha up and running in a matter of hours after our “booked beach house” somehow became ‘overbooked’. Our trip was planned at the wishes of my sister, Martha. Martha is blind and requires the assistance of a wheelchair. Her dream was to experience Hawaii and the ocean. Upon our arrival, a wheelchair ramp was being built just for her. Wow! On another day, he went out of his way to teach Martha how to make a lei. He went above and beyond that of being an owner/property manager.
The estate grounds were exotic and well maintained. The onsite caretaker, was very professional. Always there when you needed him. The large living areas suited us perfectly. Private sleeping quarters for everyone. We loved gathering for dinner on the Lanai and watching the sunset.
The private beach was very nice and very pristine. We were actually in the water when hundreds of sea turtles swam up near to us. It was truly a dream vacation for Martha. Thank you for everything you did to help that dream come true.

Thank you so much for all your hospitality! (And Arigato!) You were amazing to work with. The house exceeded our expectations. The pictures and video just do not do it justice. It was the PERFECT place for our family of 10 to relax and enjoy each others company while taking in all the beauty of the ocean and the surroundings. We had a decision to book 5 rooms at a hotel or your home. We made the CORRECT choice staying here!!
BEAUTIFUL AND BEYOND OUR EXPECTATIONS

We chose this beautiful treehouse purely based on the photos and reviews. My husband (back then fiance) and I were looking for accommodation where we can also have our wedding. We just fell in love with the Hale Aloha straight away from the photos. It accommodated all our families (13 adults) and had a lawn area plus gazebo near the pond where we had our ceremony. The staff gave us privacy but very tentative the whole time. The management team was great accommodating all our requirements. Everyone had a fantastic week staying here and I look forward to coming back for another family gathering.
BEAUTIFUL, SPACIOUS PROPERTY!!!

Our family of 11 thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful property and made life-long memories. We enjoyed having plenty of space to spread out and have privacy, yet gather together to eat inside or out. The decks offered great ocean views and room to relax. The sunsets on the private beach were amazing, the snorkeling was incredible and watching the seals sleep on the beach was a delightful surprise! Love the North Shore country vibe and the host was exceptionally welcoming and helpful! We highly recommend this house.

Beautiful private property , home was very clean with plenty of room for our 6 adults and 5 teens.in a country like setting. Secluded beach was great for snorkeling and we even saw seals! Owner was very helpful with suggestions for activities and dining. I would recommend this property for anyone who is open to natural air conditioning and enjoys being away from crowds. Beach views are gorgeous and is just a very short walk away. The hot tub was also clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay
A FUN STAY THE MONTH OF JUNE

We really enjoyed our stay at Hale Aloha Estate. The property was clean, grounds meticulous, kitchen very well stocked with all cooking needs, deck has grill and pizza oven, both of which we used. House and grounds nicely decorated with Hawaiian and Asian accents. the estate is definitely rural Hawaii, quiet, with beautiful star views at night and close to the ocean so you can hear the ocean waves at night but ,close enough to enjoy Honolulu and all Aohu's beaches and tourist venues. The Owner was very helpful, always available and offered suggestions for dining, site seeing and shopping. our whole family truly enjoyed our stay.
Awesome location, beautiful house

We spent a week with our multigenerational family of 15. House was beautiful and spacious. The lack of AC was tough in the late afternoons but the owner was kind enough to bring over extra fans. Cooled down by night and beds were comfortable. The location was perfect. Large yard kept the kids busy catching frogs, playing kickball and chasing chickens. Calm lovely beach out the back door with decent snorkeling. Saw turtles , trigger fish, angel fish. Was also a great location for quick North Shore excursions- Waimea Valley, Turtle Beach, Sharks Cove, Three Tables, all within 15-25 minutes. Owner was a great communicator and very helpful. Offered restaurant and activity suggestions. Overall a great stay!!
